Nine Men's Morris Travel Board Game
C$20.00 ick here to add your text.
A game thousands of years old; most likely of Celtic origin.
These boards are hand carved of yellow cedar and include brass hinges and polished, beeswaxed river stone counters and brass clasp; 5"x5"x1-1/2".
The simplicity of the rules allows for great complexity. A wonderful travel game or gift. Rules included.
Game Rules:
Each player is given nine men to place on intersections or corners. Players alternate until all men have been placed then play progresses by sliding moves in a straight line one or two spaces. The object of the game is to capture all of the opponent's men (save two) or to prevent him from moving. Capturing is achieved by creating "mills" (three men in a row) and any one of the opponent's men may be taken--save one's protected in "mills" of their own. When a player is reduced to three or four men he may begin making leaping moves to any free intersection on the board.
New harvest is in and being straightened, dried, and cut to length. Please order yours now and we'll send them as soon as possible.
